Smash City The first Smash Bros. monthly of 2015 is happening at Big City Gamin' and it's going to be re-introducing Super Smash Bros. Melee to BCG once again. Due to limited space Melee was going to be on an alternating schedule with Smash Wii U, but the owner of Big City Gamin' has a way to fit in some CRT TVs (the bigger TVs that take up more room) which is what Melee runs on. Because of this we'll see if we can fit in enough setups to make it feasible to run a Melee event for all the oldskool Melee enthusiasts and have a Smashin' good time! Happy 2015
We're hitting pause for a bit to enjoy the winter holidays. We'll be back for more gaming goodness in the year 2015. Wishing every gamer a Happy New Year! Dec 14th 2014
Smash 4 Glory Recap The tournament went on to be a "smashing" success, it was so intense that the entire city block's electricity blew out. The event coordinators kept things together for nearly an hour until everything came back online and singles finished up pretty much on schedule. The biggest event seemed to be the 4v4 Teams matches where 8 players grouped together to Smash it out on a gigantic battlefield drawing crowds and cheers. Looks like that event my stick around again for next time! Read the whole RECAP HERE Dec 10th 2014

Smash & Karts! There's two new games coming up on our roster of events in Eugene: - Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Wii U - Mariokart 8 Mariokart 8 may be a well-established game in your Wii U library by now, but it is receiving a special Zelda themed Downloadable Content (DLC) package to really put the pedal to the metal! Be sure to look out for our Mariokart 8 coming in a few weeks! The hype surrounding the newest Smash Bros. coming for the Wii U is real. We are looking at the usual 1 vs 1 competition and also looking to kick it up a notch with a Teams side event, but this one will have a 8 player mode. 4 vs 4 Teams match and the ability to have four teams fighting it out free-for-all style? This we cannot pass up! Smash Wii U tournament will be scheduled soon after our Mariokart 8 event, please check our Event Page for more information! Nov 9th 2014

For Fun! For Glory! Streaming/Capture We have some great news regarding our Smash Bros. event this weekend. Masterfisk will be there with his 3DS video equipment. What does this mean? It means we will be working on getting your games up on a large screen TV. Matches will be played out for a crowd to watch and cheer you on, and Final Rounds should be very hype! It also means we may have streaming set up (depending on Big City Gamin's internet setup) as well as video capture. So you should be able to review some of your matches for later to see what could be improved on - it's a great learning tool! Much thanks to Masterfisk for his services!
