This was the last test stream for Shoryuken League's weekly Dragonpunch fighting game series featuring Street Fighter and Super Smash Bros. events. Gamepad Arena supplied a very nice microphone to replace the clip-on from last week and KBdreams provided overlays and commentary.
We had a New Challenger this week from Coos Bay area, entering under the name Zayd and rocking a strong Sheik and Diddy Kong with a few other pocket characters to counterpick with. The two previous winners from last week were seeded on opposite sides of the brackets and everyone else was random seed. The New Challenger was dealt the lowest seed and faced off against the previous week's winner for the first round. How did he do? Gamepad Arena, Shoryuken League, and KBdreams put together a test stream for the Dragonpunch Wednesday event held weekly at the League.
Most equipment used was Shoryuken League's, but Kinich and Ayla pieced together enough to get audio and video to go online. Although this was not meant to go much beyond just a test of the equipment to see what was needed, the response was quite significant. The Livecasting commentating was done by Kinich alongside some of the players like Smash twins t0mmy & t1mmy as well as a new competitor Joey. The test went so well that a follow-up for next Wednesday's Dragonpunch is being planned for another test run. When all is put together we plan on having a promoted livestream event for the "high stakes" Dragonpunch - the first Wednesday of the week that offers a cash prize to the top placing competitors! Until then, catch the stream next Wednesday the 28th around 6pm on Twitch! Twitch.tv/GamepadArena |
